The Dogolphin Syndicate began in
December 1999, when Castlerea Delia gave birth to her very first
litter. When the syndicate first began it consisted of 4 main
members Gary Noble, Michael Browning, Peter Smith and Michael Young,
and six greyhound pups Omnipotent, Stripe Them, Special Treat,
Vociferous, Phenomenon and Matriarch. When Delias second litter were
born the syndicate decreased to just 3 main members Gary Noble,
Michael Browning and Peter Smith. The syndicate stayed as a team of
3 until October 2003 when Peter Smith decided to give up his
involvement in greyhounds.
So the Dogolphin Greyhounds Syndicate now
stands with just 2 main members Gary Noble (and daughters Olivia and
Bethia) and Michael Browning. We have recently reserved the
'Special' prefix, so as from 2005 most of our dogs will carry the
'Special' prefix.
We (Dogolphin Greyhounds) are
closely affiliated to Rosegreen Kennels, Cashel run by Lionel and
Sandra Mannering (rosegreenkennels.tripod.com).
All our pups are reared and schooled at Rosegreen Kennels, where
they are given the best possible start in preperation for their
racing careers. Most of our pups then come over to race at
Walthamstow, usually trained by Linda Jones (where Mark Wallis has
now taken over as trainer), although some of our dogs have been
trained by Jim Reynolds, John Mullins, Maurice Newman and Nigel Ryde.
We plan to continue to race and breed
greyhounds, for as long as our funds will allow us to have them
cared for to the highest standard possible.
